Dedicated service desk
Our Microsoft accredited and enhanced DBS checked team will deal with your requests quickly. We give you:
- An experienced and knowledgeable person at the end of the phone who knows your school and understands the wider needs of the education sector.
- Support at a time to suit you – in and outside of school hours.
- A guarantee to keep you informed and regularly updated on your issue.
- Regular site visits (if needed).
- Proactive monitoring of your systems to highlight issues which may come up in the future.
We can install internal ticketing systems for clients to help the team work together with schools. This helpdesk system, which allows school IT users to log problems, can be seen by both the school and Bowker IT.
The system lets us know if you have a query or a task for us. It also allows help desk enquiries to be traced and lets us know about any continuing for the school management team.
Flexible annual support contracts
You can get a set number of hours per year for a fixed fee, then the Bowker IT technicians are in your hands. The support contracts are flexible. Schools allocate the allotted support time in any way they see fit according to their ever-changing needs. This includes site visits, installing new equipment, fixing equipment, and anything else that your school could need from us.
We’re transparent with our pricing, too. If time isn’t used in one year it can be rolled into the next. If, towards the end of your contract, you run out of time, Bowker IT can top up your contract with no changes to the support you receive and nasty cost surprises
Remote monitoring of servers
The Bowker IT team is alerted as soon as a critical issue arises, through the remote server monitoring service. That way, we can address any problem your school’s system has as quickly as possible.
